Lord, Take My Hand and Lead Me
Lord, take my hand and lead me
Upon life’s way;
Direct, protect, and feed me
From day to day.
Without your grace and favor
I go astray;
So take my hand, O Savior,
And lead the way.
Lord, when the tempest rages,
I need not fear;
For you, the Rock of Ages,
Are always near.
Close by your side abiding,
I fear no foe,
For when your hand is guiding,
In peace I go.
Lord, when the shadows lengthen
And night has come,
I know that you will strengthen
My steps toward home,
And nothing can impede me,
O blessed Friend!
So, take my hand and lead me
Unto the end.

Father, We Thank You
Father, we thank you that you planted
your holy name within our hearts.
Knowledge and faith and life immortal
Jesus your Son to us imparts.
Lord, you have made all for your pleasure,
and giv’n us food for all our days,
giving in Christ the bread eternal;
yours is the pow’r, yours be the praise.
Watch o’er your Church, O Lord, in mercy,
save it from evil, guard it still;
perfect it in your love, unite it,
cleansed and conformed unto your will.
As grain, once scattered on the hillsides,
was in this broken bread made one,
so from all lands your Church be gathered
into your kingdom by your Son.

You Satisfy the Hungry Heart
Refrain
You satisfy the hungry heart
with gift of finest wheat.
Come give to us, O saving Lord,
the bread of life to eat.
As when the shepherd calls his sheep,
they know and heed his voice;
so when you call your fam’ly, Lord,
we follow and rejoice.
With joyful lips we sing to you
our praise and gratitude
that you should count us worthy, Lord,
to share this heav’nly food.
Is not the cup we bless and share
the blood of Christ out-poured?
Do not one cup, one loaf, declare
our oneness in the Lord?
The myst’ry of your presence, Lord,
no mortal tongue can tell:
whom all the world cannot contain
comes in our hearts to dwell.
You give yourself to us, O Lord;
then selfless let us be,
to serve each other in your name
in truth and charity.
